Photography proposal Michael Johnson
IRISH NATURE (FLOWERS)

Who
My name is Michael Johnson I am 24 years of age. I was born in Nigeria, have lived my whole live in Nigeria. I recently moved to Dublin and have been staying in Ireland for over 3 months now. I love to cook, my hobbies are singing, writing songs and playing football, watching movies, taking photographs as well as playing video games.
What
For my photography project I would be working on Irish nature for example I would be taking close up shots photographs of different flowers in the National Botanic Gardens and also at Stephen’s Green park.
Where
I would be going to the National Botanical Gardens in Dublin to take close up shots of flowers and I would also be taking some of my photographs from Stephens green Park. The national botanic garden is located in Glasnevin, north-west of Dublin city center, Ireland while Stephen’s Green is at city center public park in Dublin, Ireland.
When
My photography project will start in December and will last for one month and I would be going out to take pictures of about one hundred to one hundred and fifty pictures every week in order to pick my best pictures to make the book project.
Why
I am working on Irish Nature because the Irish nature has a long history and one of places, I would be visiting is the National Botanic gardens it is well known for its fine plant collections and its home to over 15,000 plant species from different variety of habitats from around the world. This gives me the opportunity to be able to take different photographs of various species of beautiful plants.
The National Botanic Gardens is famous for its charming restored and planted glasshouses, notably the Turner Curvilinear Range and the Great Palm House, both recipients of the Europa Nostra award for excellence in conservation architecture. Visitors can enjoy such features as the herbaceous borders, rose garden, the alpine yard, the pond area, rock garden and arboretum.
How
I am using a cannon EOS 4000D DSLR camera with EF-S 18 to 55 mm lens f/3.5-5.6 III Lens. I am using this camera because it has great manual features that would allow me to take nice photographs. Throughout the course I learnt some great techniques such as shallow depth of field, great depth of field, wide depth of field, panning, slow shutter speed, and fast shutter speed. I would be taking my photographs in extreme close ups, portrait, and also wide depth.
